so in MI we didnt have to get our cars tested or when i lived in robertson county....but now since i moved to sumner county and i recently sold my bike i'm ready to get another car but my choice depends on what mods i can do and still pass...besides a cat what otehr things could cause me to fail...exhaust,ITB,motor built...etc kinda a dumb question but im new to the whole thing.

 

I passed in davidson with a headerback exhaust that's OBVIOUSLY not stock.

the majority of the people that work those places are morons who are there for $6/hr so they don't really care most of the time.

 

As long as you've got an OBDII car and there's no CEL then you're more than likely gonna pass. They don't have any clue what they're looking for when they do the visual check. I've never had them open the hood either.

 

yeah, they looked under the front driver's side of my car for the cat and checked it as PASS. lol

yeah they dont know what there looking at...you could pull the wrapper off a campbells soup can, slide it over the exhaust pipe and they'll think its the cat
