Great info guys! Thanks!! Keep it coming. I'm probably going to schedule a visit to Watkins in a few weeks. Probably on a friday. I'll let you guys know for sure when and maybe we could meet up at Wynns or something?

Be more specific about computer graphics Andy, what exactly are you looking for specifically? Programming, Graphic Design, 3D design, back end, front end design?

Jake, I'm pretty uncertain right now to be honest with you. I'm back in school at the local community college, which actually has a very good art department. I'm taking intro to graphic design, Fireworks, Filmmaking, and Intro digital photography this semester. I'm really curious about 3D printing, but the 3D stuff honestly scares me a bit. I'm having fun being forced to really learn illustrator right now. And the fireworks class is distance learning so its really just following along in the book. I had a couple of semesters at the art institute back in the 90's most of those classes transferred as Fine arts classes.

If I was to go back again I'd focus heavily on web related courses. Most of the jobs out there now want CSS, HTML, Java, Flash and all the print related experience like Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop etc. I'm slowly going to try to learn some motion graphics with After Effects and using Flash catalyst. It sucks to only have a print background right now for me. I mostly live in InDesign and Photoshop at work and use Illustrator randomly when needed.

I've played around with after effects cs4 and its really cool. I'm really interested in motion design too. That is the reason I'm taking filmmaking.

I've never used InDesign but we are going to be using it later this semester.

InDesign is awesome. They've added a lot to it in CS5 too.

Although, no state income tax is nice here.

Speaking of state income tax...These idiots in montgomery are so screwed up that they didn't have the money to pay us our tax refund until late August. The schools are out of money for the year. Meanwhile tons of alabamians cross state lines to blow their money on tn or ga lotteries. or they take a weekend trip over to miss. to visit the casinos. The old school thinking that gambling is a sin is stupid...
