Default Time for the beater to go!

Things have gotten a bit quiet around here so I though i might look for some input from you guys. Im looking at trading in my 98 Sebring Covert. JXI in fair condition (93K miles) for something a little more new with less miles.

The replacement car has got to have

-Less Miles
-Atleast a 98 or newer
-Power windows
-Power Locks
-Decent stereo
-Comfortable for Road Trips
-Not a complete bore to drive
-Gas mileage of (ATLEAST) 23 mph in city or better
-Reliable
-Under 15K pre-trade in.
-Color doesnt overly matter
-Prefer 2 door but will consider 4
-Prefer Sunroof

I went and checked out a 97 prelude with 58K miles. Leather interior and automatic which broke the heart but otherwise was a nice car. Let me know what your guys think and what you would look at.

Im looking a bit more into:

-Last model preludes
-Mazda 3 2.3 S
-Mazda 6
-Mid 2000 model Civic EXs

had to have been some kind of re-upholstery job - I'm pretty sure the Prelude did not have leather at any time. Drop the "I don't want a boring ride" part then you can go get that one. ?

Which is why you should keep it in the back of your mind. I'm assuming you gave it the because it was an automatic. I never have understood the whole "beater" concept anyways. I'm not knocking you, btw. I just don't get it. Get a nice car (sure it can be used) and that's it.

I wouldnt mind having my old 99 Civic Si back for a daily driver. Those are fun to drive, good mileage, and still look nice all for around 10k for a VERY nice one. Or heck, even an Integra Type R would be awesome. If you want more practicality, look at a 2000-2003 WRX, although the gas mileage isnt quite as good as the civic due to the engine layout, but still a solid choice.

I have a 2004 Subaru STI that I would be willing to sell you for $18,000. The KBB value is $19,725.00. I have to seriously buy a truck.

Matt detailed it a while back. It looks and runs great.
