Default Tire question

Hello all, I'm putting some new rubber on the S and I've been considering extremecontact DWS. After giving it some more thought, I'm thinking the extremecontact DW might be better. I'm relatively new to the area (only been here a year for school) and wanted to get input from you guys about the need for Snow traction. My main concern is wet traction since it seems to rain so much here. I'm from Louisiana and we never saw this much rain.

EDIT- I DD my S, and I don't have time for track/autox days. Feel free to suggest other tires, I've just heard these are great tires for DD.

If you've lived here for a year then you know everything about our "snow conditions" you need to. This last winter was a perfect example of what it's {usually) been like for a long time now. A lot of hand wringing from the forcasters but little real action. Aside from a "freak" dump of 2-3 inches every few years (and the roads are usually clear the next day) you can forget about any real accumulation in the lowlands.

I just put on the DWs for my daily (e36 M3). I like them a lot for daily duty. They are very good in the rain. Sidewall is not very stiff so it gives a good ride, but I can feel them squirm a little. For not auto-x just putting around town, they are great. Tirerack had them on clearance.
