Default Window Tinting

Anyone locally here knows of a tinting place where I can get my s tinted? A place where you all have experienced with and if so, please give me an estimate of how much you all paid for it and what brand of window film used?

Thanks

I've seen good work from Sun Cool in Hendersonville and Solar Insulation in West Nashville right off I-40.

I'll second the opinion on Solar Insulation. They do very good work there. I believe they use Laminar tint? I can't comment on price as I haven't had the S tinted. It shouldn't be much with only two windows though.

Solar Insulation does a good job, but I don't think they'll go darker than 35%. Xtreme Auto Trim (615-847-7757) in Lakewood/Old Hickory does an excellant job and he warantys all of his work. I had a mini cooper that I got done there, 5 windows for around $170. On my drivers side front window, the tint tore one day from being frozen to the window seal, and he re-tinted both front windows for free. For two windows I'm pretty sure he charges about 50 bucks depending on what kind of tint you want. Plus the back window will probably be a little extra too.

I just had my windows done this afternoon at Solar Insulation. They use Llumar film and provide a lifetime guarantee on their work. The tint is only 35% (maximum legal), but it looks much darker because not a light passes through the s2000 cabin. I can throw up some pics if anybody wants them.

Pics by request. Excuse the dirty car, poor framing, quality, etc.

$168 including labor and upgraded metallic tint. The back window is what makes the price go up.

I had mine done at Precision Motoring on Antioch Pike. They did a good job for $165, but I wish I had gone darker than 35%. Screw the law!
