I'm soooo far out of warranty, mine is a 2000
I do what work I can do myself, and have the Honda stealership do the rest. I haven't had to have anything major done though. Kaolinte will chip in eventually...2 or 3 of those views are probably my OCD random clickings, lol.

I can only offer a recommendation. Chuck Evans Automotive in Newport. Someone I met at one of the Dragon meets persuaded me to give them a try if needed. Supposedly they only work on Hondas and he claims to have known the owner all his life. Had his supercharger installed there and had nothing but praise for the guy. Seemed to be a fairly knowledgeable mechanic himself (he was working in a motor pool in Iraq the last time I heard).

Sounds like a real drive. But I appreciate the recommendation!
Have you used these guys?

Chuck is a great guy. They stay booked up and you would need to call to set an appointment. They really know Hondas and also have a junkyard for parts.

I need a mechanic that is good with S2000s.
That "Snick" going into second gear has gotten worse. It is a "Gritch" now.
Since I haven't needed car work here since 1984, I am looking for suggestions for out of (Honda) warranty, in extended warranty, work.
Thanks in advance!

Have you had the Honda TSB performed for the first-second grind on your car? If not I would start there.
I will find it, and attach it to this post later.
Here you go.
Sevice Bulletin
Be sure to ask for "goodwill consideration" before they start the work.
