2002 model at Classic in RR
If anyone is curious to take a look, there is a white/red 2002 in the parking lot of Classic Honda that I looked at for a few min while picking up my car from service today. Unfortunately, my digicam was stolen so no pics. Obvious changes:
- chrome highlights around tail lights, as noted by pics in other posts
- glass rear window, with defroster, looks nice
- honda badges are obviously larger (esp in front, rear may be the same), they look worse cosmetically to me.
- stereo face is a dark silver instead of black, display is slightly different
- chrome highlights in door (around handle, tweeters)
- leather shift knob, does not look as good, but may be a functional improvement
- console cover-- it may be vinyl, but the quality seems better at a glance than rick's, I think it is padded underneath.
- some sort of shiny silver plastic highlight on the rear part of the seat headrest
- all red treatment of red interior (red dash, red roll bars, all red door panels, etc).
Overall the glass rear window (and rumored tranny upgrades) would be my main motive for upgrading. Otherwise, still pretty happy with my '01.
Cheers!
BTW, the sales guy said the lady who was going to buy that particular car backed out. They are offering it at MSRP with no options.

Thanks for the post!
I called 1st TX to see if they had one I could go look at, and they didn't have one. So, I might make trip to RR to have a look.
I don't think I'm ready to upgrade, I haven't put enough miles on mine to need an oil change yet

I went today at lunch to look at the car and my first impressions were mixed. I liked the new speaker location and door pockets but not sure on the all red interior (and I own a black/red). I have always liked the white but I do not like the bigger badges or the chrome trimmed tailights. Plus the dealer decided to put rubber trim around the wheel wells and doors (at a cost of $1000!). Got to love Classic.
DDD and I spent about 20 minutes educating the salesman on the features of the car.
We even got him to start it up in the showroom and rev it to VTEC to explain the crossover to him
j/k
Suprisingly, he didn't even try to sell the car to me. It's like he somehow knew already my opinion of Classic. Bastards.

The all red interior seems to be throwing people for a loop. I think I'm gonna go down to Classic and check it out as this was the color (White with Red Interior) I was considering when I buy my S next year. I guess from now on, I'll have to daydream about driving in a black or silver instead.
