350Z Guest Saying Hello
I am sorry I missed the event this past Tuesday in Austin. My Z arrived Thursday. I would certainly like to participate in discussions with you all and any get togethers there are in the area I'd really like to join if that's okay with everyone.
I would enjoy meeting fellow enthusiasts.
A little bit about my new car -- proud pappa can't help himself
I'm sure you empathize.
My 350Z is a Track Model with every option you can get. I'm also adding the Offical 350Z leather pkg that's in the touring model and changing out the sound system. I paid for those as official Nissan extras, but they are not in yet and therefore won't be installed for another week.
Still it's got everything else, including the DVD Player NAV system which I think is really neat. Car handles better than the '02 Boxter S IMO. As far as speed, I can tell she's got a lot of power but I'm still in the break in period and have not been over 4K RPMS.
Anyhow, if there are folks looking to get together I'd like that. I work at Dell and a fellow colleague has a silver S2K with red interior and I admire his car.
You all have a great board and what looks to be a fantastic community. I hope you are all are open to "guests" with Z's and other sports cars.

I saw the 350z and was underimpressed. I thought it was going to be better than the s2000 originally, but finally seeing one...it has a wierd bubble roofline, the front lights look bad. The lights are worse than the "naked" s2000 cleared lights. I couldn't drive it because they don't let you test drive them yet.....
Chris, welcome to the S2000 forum! I would also be very excited to see your car, as I wasn't present for the most recent happy hour either.
Don't let Raj get to you, we local S2000 owners are pretty excited about your car and hope to form a lasting relationship with your group!

Welcome aboard Chris. I turly believe the new Z is one of the nicest cars ever made. I think it looks just as good as if not better than my S. The fender flares and body lines are amazing. Congrats
Do us a favor and take some pics, take a fewof the brakes. I d like to see what the Rays wheels and Brembos look like.

Hey Chris, you gotta get that Z car broken in so you can put all those track upgrades to good use. . . on the track!
Hope to see you up at TWS/TMR one of these days.
Oh, they are reasonably tolerant of interlopers (just don't bring up the torque issue
). I'm the ex-S2000-now-M3-owner that's always trying to get S2ks to the track, where they belong.
