Default Austin area Honda shops

Honda shops aside from Honda dealers? Anyone know of any good ones? I know there is a Honda/Acura shop on the frontage of I35 near Grand Avenue Parkway but I have never used them or known anyone who has? I'm not really looking for any hard-core Honda mod shop, just one who knows the S2000 and K series engines.

ive heard great and horrible thing out of them, im sure if youre friends with them, like it seems you are, you would be ok. They charge a lot for the work they do and unless its fabbing up some type of cutom turbo id stay with other shops.

I am looking for a good shop to get my valves adjusted, I think they need it. Can they even tune the S2000 without an aftermarket ECU? How does Honda give it a tune up if not???

Anyway, I have a CAI and Megan TP and it smells like it is running real rich. I'd hate to have to get an after market ECU or VFAC just to lean it out a hair.

JC Autospec does most of the work on the Austin local S2000s, including disassembling and reassembling a custom turbo build for an S2000 recently. They are also a sponsor for S2KCAas well as the Tejas Miata Club. Ask for Dan or John and tell them that Sondra sent you.

I've spent a lot of money at MZM and I really got screwed out of it. I came to find out that they have a lot of disappointed customers. I wouldn't trust them to open up a head and torque it back to spec properly.

JC autospec is pretty good if you're limited to Austin.
