Austin Firestone Alignment Shops - Which is best?
Does anyone have recommendations or horror stories they'd like to share regarding the local Firestone shops with respect to alignments on the S2000 and BMW M3? I have to take my car to get an alignment thanks to some of these lovely streets & road humps.
I have Firestone's lifetime alignment deal on my cars, which was nice when I lived in Dallas as they had several really good shops with the latest/greatest racks and ASC technicians. $119 for a lifetime of alignments, no matter what. Want to try different toe-in or camber setups 3 times in a week? No problem. They did the alignment specs we wanted, whether or not they were within manufacturer's tolerances (so we could do the -1.6F / -2.2R negative camber setup on coil-overs), no problem. Have the alignment done with 1/2 tank of gas & me in the driver's seat, no problem.
(And I understand locally that SoulSpeed is THE place to go if you don't already have an existing agreement with a national chain).
So that said, who has some good words (or not so good for that matter) about the local Firestone alignment scene -- which locations, which techs to ask for, etc. All comments welcome.
Thanks,
Stanford
