Hello, I just ordered a Robbin Top, and will received it maybe before thanksgiving, I was just wondering if anyone on this forum is local and can do the work, again i am from austin texas, and I will pay you for your time of course, or if you know shop that can do it, please let me know

Cecil's Top Shop is the place in town that I'd recommend. They aren't cheap but they've done a good job for several people here in town.

BTW, the reason why responses are slow here is that most of the S2000 folks here are more active on another site. PM me and I'll point you over there!

It's kinda hard to get somebody to commit to "helping out" on such a big job like that, especially when nobody knows you.

yea, i know but i am willing to pay then for their time, little cash on the side , plus i am willing to help too, i rather pay someone that know what they doing some cash then paying someone 700 and dont have my car for 2 days you know?

 

Top replacement on the '00 took me nearly 10 hours with the help of another S2000 owner who literally "wrote the book" on glass top retrofits. No joke, Robbins "borrowed" his tutorial to develop their instructions. Just a word of caution. At your car's age some of the fasteners are likely to break, even if you use extreme care. Your MY '00 car also likely underwent the seat belt tensioner recall service when it was new. Depending on the care taken when the dealer performed this service you may find some of the parts are already broken or missing.
