Did First Texas allow you guys to test drive?

I dropped them when they said I could not drive a new model car until the paper work was drawn. This was a big deal to me since I had not made up my mind on the S. I needed to confirm that the S was a sweet performer because of the other trade offs.).
Heck Yea they took the car off the show room floor. We asked for the Sales Manager when we walked in and only dealt with him since he makes the call on most sales. Took 5 min of talking with him, when he figured out we had driven the SLK, Boxer, TT, and Z4 in the last 48 hrs he handed the keys to us. We took it home 45 min after the test drive.

reedkr2: Nice roadster I bet it is a real attention getter. However I was looking for a new blue. You shouldn't have much prob selling it with the weather getting better.

I think the S is the car I want cause I wiped all of the competition off my list(MSM, solstice, sky, new supra, boxter, MR2, corvette) for various cost or performance reasons.

I have no prob walking out on a salesman, especially if they are stonewalling, trying to confuse, taking too long to answer, etc. I'll go to another dealer that day or another salesman at the same dealer a few weeks on.

I didn't know you could Ipod a new car that wasn't from the factory that way. Looks like I need to catch up on my audio knowledge - I'm still at 5.1.

Gsolman, don't waste time with Austin dealerships. Talk to TJ Beyene (713) 776-4864 at Gillman Honda in Houston and make sure to mention Kenneth Reed with the Yellow S2000 sent you. He is the man!

Dang. I just drove a 2005 suzuka at Gillman in Schertz.

Actually I think I have a slight perferenence for the 2000-3s. They are a little more raw and boisterous. I also could not detect "improved shifting" from the
revised syncros on this newer one. And what is with the big exhaust outlets? I thought the S2k was supposed to be more subtle(i.e. stealthy) than that.

Maybe I didn't like it as much b/c it is not broken in yet?

So at least for now I want a 2000-3 Suzuka, not modified, low to mid mileage.
