Default Car got broken into...

Yeah, so my top got slashed this morning, my radar detector was gone as well as my driver seat. If I can find someone with a scanner I'll scan the pics.

Hopefully I can get a decent aftermarket seat and a new top, but I'm on my bike for a while only. Not a bad thing!!!

If I find out who did it, I might need to assemble a lynching party, so post if you're game!

Blake

Chong, if you read this, call me ASAP. Got some interesting info!

Sorry to hear that, Blake!

A friend of mine who lives in the apts. behind Dell's Parmer campus told me about it this afternoon, but didn't know whose it was - bummer to hear it was yours. Too late to do you much good now, but I bought the McGard seat locks and am glad I did - can't be too careful these days w/ all the thieving scumbags roaming the streets these days.

Blake if you need help let me know. I know we never met but I have been jacked, Civic stereo and seats, before and it sucks. Where do we need to look for someone selling a seat? What color? I thought the cats jumping on my car was bad. Are you around UT?

No, I live up north, but I go to UT so I'm in the area frequently. I got some ideas where to look.

Well, I'd rather have the seats stolen then for them to slash the top and do other damage (ie slashing stuff) because they can't get them. At least there's a chance I can get a decent aftermarket seat.

The seat is black with some marks in it from my money clip. Should be pretty easy to pick out if you see a S2K seat anywhere.

Blake,

Sorry man, I hope your insurance will help compensate you.

Guess you'll have to talk w/ Schatten about getting a seat.

I just saw this in the Marketplace: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...threadid=103066

Not another one! We've had a rash of these going on in Houston. Sorry to hear about the theft and I hope you get it fixed soon.

Damn Blake, that sucks.. I just sent you a PM before I read this.. let me know what you think.

Chris,
Do you know where we can get a set of those McGard seat locks from right away or are they only available through custom order/group buy? Sounds like a no-brainer thing to get these days.

I don't know how hard it is to find them, but I know they make bolts that are similar to a hex bolt, but have an odd pattern, like a square hole. If you can find one big enough, and the tool, all you would need is one or two per seat. This is something they do for car stereo equipment as well.

OMG that really sucks. Were you parked on the street? I'll keep my eyes & ears open for
anyone possibly selling it.

The McGard Seat Locks are not sold anywhere, except in our group buy.

They were custom made for us, and are not even available from McGard. I am the only person authorized to purchase them.

I may have 5 sets left, but I'm not sure at this point.

If anyone is interested, feel free to contact me.
