I duno about the high flow cat. I could see some use for it if you were going FI at some point. But you might I mean might get like 1 hp out of it. But you will probably get more noise/drone from the exhaust if you get an aftermarket one later. But if its not to expensive then give it a try. But thats just my .02, and Im more about usefull/noticable mods than anything else.

Not sure it's all that worth it unless you have already done all of the other in/out mods (intake, header, exhaust, etc)...

IMHO, these cars are already pretty tapped out performance-wise from the factory. To get much more out of the engines, you pretty much need to force-feed them.

Also, if you ever plan to AutoCross, simply putting in a high-flow cat bumps you out of a stock class (a lot of other worthwhile mods won't).

At any rate, it's your car, if you think it's worth it, by all means go for it.

With those qualifications (less than $400), I'd be looking at suspension, brakes, etc...

Some good quality pads, an X-brace, and maybe a sway bar or something might make it handle a bit better.

Making the car accelerate faster without making it handle or stop better (first) is a recipe for disaster.

Just my $.02 from what I've watched over the years.

If all your wanting to do is improve your 0-60 times, then practice practice practice. This car is hard to get good times unless you practice with it. Also this car is fast but it is not really a drag car.

I don't know about that....the car has more than adequate handling/braking to support more HP. I had no problems keeping my old S2000 on the road, w/ near stock handling/braking capabilities.

IMO the biggest threat for disaster is drivers' perceptions of their skills exceeding reality.
