Default Cruise Control Question

Um...just got back to town with my s2k. This is my first time driving long trip with manual car. I was trying to set cruise control while i was driving on the highway, somehow doesn't work. Does it has special way to do on manual car??

My Steps:
push Cruise Control button
then set/dece button on the steering wheel

and it doesn't work

Anyone know why?

Never really used it till this weekend. And it doesn't work, well I guess I will go ask the dealership about it tomorrow, since they have to add my edge fender guard anyway.

But will the head unit be the problem since have to connect to the speed sensor? I really don't think so, but it might be a possibly.

I would have to look it up to see where the cruise control gets its reading from. They way to check whether they messed up your speed sensor is by driving about 5 mph and click the emergency brake up a notch at a time until the "Brake" light comes on then attempt to raise or lower the top, if the top moves or the car doesn't beep at you, then it is not getting the speed signal from the convertible top module.

They probably won't charge you. The only thing the audio shop could have done was cut the speed sensor instead of tapping into it.

Well if they tapped into the convertible top module, like I showed you the few weeks back when you were asking about it. Then they were just supposed to get a signal from it. If they accidentally cut it instead of tapping into it, then it just needs to be reconnected. You should be able to have everything hooked together. Did you get a chance to see if you could move the top while the ebrake was up and you were moving ?
