Anyone from Austin interested in doing this Derek Daly Academy training. It is a 3 day deal in Vegas. See link below for details.

Short of it is fly to Las Vegas use their open wheel cars, no transportation of the S2K required. Although having it in Vegas might be pretty fun

I am seriously considering it, but I think it would be more fun if a few of the local crowd were interested.

Any of the seasoned vets on this board taken this class or have any comments on the quality of training and "fun factor"?

Did another school myself, only Formula Fords. This type of school would be *invaluable* for anybody and everybody here - you'd learn far more hear than any number of "track days" (aka Open Trak, DE, whatever). Top quality, top drawer teaching.

You'll have a helluva great time!

I'd like to do Derek Daly, and it is one of the absolute best of the best, but I have no funds in Nov for this - yet. I'm still looking atg going to Tokyo for the Intl Auto Show just before SEMA. That would fill up my remaining free time in Nov.

Thanks Jeff for the feedback. I am really thinking I'm going to do it. It is a bit expensive, but if the training is good it would be worth it. The class will be all S2000 owners if everything goes according to plan, and hence the instruction could be somewhat tailored. I don't know exactly what that will mean, but I'm sure it will be useful no matter what they put on the agenda.

I'll be deciding on by Tues if it is a go or no go. I just hope the wife wants to spend a few days in Vegas, that will be a sure sell since it would have mutual benefit..... That is my story and I'm sticking to it

Someday I'll do one of these driving schools, but no way am I going to be able to spend upwards of $3000 on something like this now. Have fun if you are lucky enough to go!
