Default dmv laws?

moving to tx - san antonio for a bit followed by austin.

but wondering what your dmv laws are....

fully tinted ok?
inspection needed?
lienent on car mods?

- Tint ok to a certain percentage
- inspection is needed, and if you're registered anywhere near a city, you'll have to pass an emissions test
- mods: I don't think they look or care much as long as you can pass inspection and emissions.

For SA
Tint: There is a certain % for tint. Ask Ariel... I've seen people get away with full limo tint, and some people get busted for slightly darker than legal tint (they were racing and the extra tint ticket was insult to injury). Just depends how nice the officer is feeling that day

Inspection needed: Yes, but in SA they do not check OBDII readings. Visual Inspection only.

Car Mods: We're not in California. Unless your racing or being stupid they will never check your mods, at least in my experience. A lot of mods are street legal in Texas, just don't throw a CEL and you should be fine. Once again NOT California.
