I've read good and bad about slotted and cross-drilled rotors. Some say the cross-drilled are for weight reduction. It doesn't seem like it would get rid of much weight but when you have really big rotors on the big brake kits I guess the weight comes into effect. On the slotted rotors I guess the slots might give them a bit more bite but this would wear our your pads faster.

Both slotted and cross-drilled rotors will have less surface area than a typical blank rotor so there's a possibility of them being worse in performance. For a street car that doesn't go over 100mph... much... I wouldn't see any use in slotted or cross-drilled rotors.

everything I've heard about them has been bad in the long run.

personally, I had a pair on my civic, and over time, small cracks formed near the holes of them.

I'd stay away, IMO.

15" ceramic cross drilled/slotted is the only way to go.
