By driving school do you mean evasive techniques on the road or track-event type school?

If you mean high performance driving schools, there are the ones that I put on every so often, or, offered more often are the Driver's Edge or Motorsports Club, usually at TWS.

Driveway Austin is a driving school located right here in Austin Texas.

Their entry class is pretty reasonable. If you drop by on a Saturday they will usually give you a full tour and let you know how it all works and you can see a class in action. They are pretty friendly folk.

^^Thank You (everyone) for the advice.

I'll try to make it out the driveway next Saturday to get the full tour and see what its about!

Also marked on my calendar for Sondra's S2K focused driving school in November.

I'm just looking for any excuse to drive the S and actually learn some proper driving techniques and skills!!

Driver's Edge (from what I've gathered on their website) is an evasive maneuvering school meaning how to get yourself out of sticky situations such as fish tailing in the rain and working on your quick reaction skills for avoiding accidents.

^^Its cheaper than the School at the Driveway.

$350 for L1: foundations of Road Racing (1 Classroom and Track Practice) + minimum of 10 practice sessions and successful proficiency testing ($60 per practice session i think)

$450 for L2 Elevation techniques...

$600 for L3: High Speed Dynamics...

$1,295 for L4: Race Craft Techniques + Compete in 3 races...

it keeps going up!!

I think I'll start with Sondra's class....To become an S2KCA member do i just pay my membership dues on the site?

Yeah, I really thought about doing the Licensing at Driveway Austin but I'd like my finances taken care of first. As for membership, there should be a link to direct you on the website on what to do. It was easy for me.

Harris Hill Road is also starting their own DE school. Their first event is 7/11. I'd go, ex. I'll be @ Port A next weekend.
