Default Emissions testing?

Moving to TX, bought a house in Bexar county.

Does this county have emissione testing?

The reason I am asking is that I have been advertsing my car for sale. Here in Albuquerque where I am currently this is the only county that has emissions testing, its hurt with the sale. I figured I would go for the quick answer here in this forum.

Thanks guys.

I will be out there in the San Antonio area after the 29th of May.

If I don't sell here, you will have at least a modest 447 rwrhp 312 ftque S2000 in the area. (been lurking a bit).

i have a catalytic enhancer (test pipe with the buldge and some baffeling of some sort in it) and i welded in a cut out were my resonator is and i drive it straight pipe all the time. just don't go to those inspection station little metal barns that have the texas flag painted on it. cause they will hook in a ob2 sensor and throw the stuff up your tail pipe and fail you for emission. the little jiffy lube and oil change garages don't have them but they check for broken lights and all the other good stuff

better yet, there is this road called Culebra, pretty much any inspection place will pass you as long as you have insurance and your tint is legal.

I had my straight pipe rx7 with many problems that passed no problem.

Thank you, been wanting a home of, well our own, can't forget the Mrs. S. Nice neighborhood.

I know it's off Stahl road. Emerald Point is the subdivision. My daughter is happy at least with the High School, Madison High School.

It will be a nice drive to Lackland, but at 3 am I know there won't be too much traffic.

Looking forward to arriving soon.

thanks guys for the inputs on the emissions testing.

Like I mentioned above, that has been the sale killer for me here in Albuquerque. My car won't pass here but for the rest of the state it does not matter.

Sounds like you guys have safety inspections on cars in San Antonio. I'm just trying to understand, thats all.

They have state inspections here in San Antonio which are $14 I believe. They check gas cap, window tint, all lights/markers, horn, etc but they do not check emissions here (as of yet). To my understanding they do check emissions in Austin and Houston and the fee is greater.

Thats good to know. It makes it easier if A buyer is interested in my car. I know with the economy the way it is, I may have the car for a while. Thats ok, I will drive it and enjoy it.

Almost to my new home.
