factory alarm
My name is Sam. I just got my s2000 two weeks ago. 2000 model all original. I want to put a better alarm on the vehicle. I would like to know what people in Austin have. I also would like to know how much the factory alarm does or doesn't do. Also where are people installing their amplifiers? Also I used to change all my old oil. Where should I go know. I have gone to First Texas Honda before, but after reading about Roberts story, I am not so sure.

As far as alarms go, some of us have the Clifford IG8000, and got the install at Custom Sounds. They screwed up the first time they installed it, but have done a great job to make up for it, and they've done several others as well.
Amp install - same place, or else, Ramon (rortiz) and others can help you out.
Oil - yourself, or else... go to First Texas and ask for Garrett, he knows most of us and he's great to work with. No complaints at all here.

Custom Sounds was recommended to me by a friend who's probably spent over $25K there, and loves them. They've given me great service as well, and I'll continue patronizing them until they give me a reason to go elsewhere.
