Last weekend we drove about 1500 miles round trip to view some fall color in Oklahoma and Arkansas. Due to a somewhat mild and wet season the leaves didn't change colors yet. Many of the trees have already shed their leaves.
The outlook down here is better. The maples around Leakey / Lost Maples are likely to change later than usual, possibly in late November. We're pondering a drive for the Thanksgiving weekend to see the fall color we missed up north. Weather permitting we'll pick a day after Thanksgiving for a drive. If others are interested we can certainly make this a group activity.
In the meantime enjoy these pictures from the North Texas Fall Colors Tour 04.
