Default Howdy! :)

Hey all, so sold the S and packed up and now living in San Antonio.
Been here for a few months now and part of the Bimmer forums so the nice folks over there help a bit.

Thinking of picking up another S so figure I better say "hey".

Saw the autox thread, glad to see, exactly why I need an S or thinking going to the other side and look for a 350 Track, dunno.

350Zs are alright and all...but they are *heavy* cars. They don't transition well at all. They're fine if you want to do high speed track stuff, but for the slower transitions, they are painful to drive. Like they say -- if AutoCrossing were any easier, it would be called road racing

Welcome!
I had a sister that lived in Seattle for 2 years....she was living in Renton.
Love that state....so beautiful!
Having an S2k here in TX is a lot more manageable than having one up there..

AX totally rocks! I usually run stock, want to be at least decent in stock form before making mods.

I prefere AP2 since I've AX with both but this one is so tempting, and yah, I personally think the S is better quality then 350 anyways...just never own one.

I live here in Texas and bought my S2000 in Florida a couple of months ago. The hardest part was finding a bank that would loan me the money without having to first inspect the car here locally. I got my loan through Wellsfargo; they just said make sure the title is within their possession within 180 days of the sale date. Once I got it here, I got the inspection done and took the inspection paperwork to the Tax Adjuster's office and did the paperwork & title to register the car here in Texas. When you put the Bank's name on the application they send the new title to the bank for you; you collect it when you pay it off. If you don't do a loan, then... it's even easier, haha, just inspection and title. Everything went very smooth.

So don't be afraid to buy out of state, it's not as nightmare'ish as people think.
