I need floaties.
Ahhh yes... I think it was one of those "really big, really healthy, and really aggressive" ones that destroyed my car in Illinois
I'm a northerner (or something like that) too, and we had big 'ole deer in Virginia too! It isn't lost on me how small the little bastards are here, but I still don't want to hit one here...
Oh, and frayed, you're right, night rides rock!

Rocky Hill Ranch in the night... GREAT!!! But, I woudn't recommend it without lights.
DTMS is a mtn biker too... be sure to get him on board...
Yes, http://cokt.org/ , I know them. It would be best to go on one of their night rides... otherwise you are going off only half-COKT.

Hey, I'm a mountain biker, too! I used to race, but got burnt out after I moved to Sport class, spent all my free time training, then went to work for a company which ate up much of my formerly free time....it's been downhill ever since. I have a pretty pimped out Titus Racer X, which needs only a better engine
to kick some major ass.
I need to ride Rocky Hill again before too long...those burgers are a nice treat after riding your butt off. Have any of you ridden Walnut Creek Park lately? They just marked an ~7-8 mile loop that's GREAT. It's ironic that I used to want to move to Jester for easy access to Forest Ridge - now it's largely shut down, and Austin's best trails are now 2 miles from my house.
Jeff, re: the XBox, maybe you don't have the right games for your interests...have you tried Rallisport Challenge (or something similar)? Halo? Halo kept me up way too late on work nights on many occassions.
I totally dig the motocross and motorcycle road racing games, but that may not be your cup of tea.

Yup, have Rallisport Challenge, it's great. But don't have any time!
I have several games for XBox, and many PC games. Just starting to work my way thru Grand Theft Auto III on PC (crummy gaphics are it's weak side).
Yup, the burgers at Rocky Hill are very possibly the best anywhere... or at least taste that way after several hours of riding there!
