A small group of us will be dropping by the parking lot in front of Best Buy at 183/360 to make an S2000 presence. We will probably be going around 9 or 10 so give me call if you want to meet up with us.

How was the drive today?

I'm sorry I missed it. I did get the Zaino treatment done today though, and got my roof well mat put in.

Weather didn't get bad today, but I hope it is better for the big meet next week

We didn't get to Llano until 1:00 and the Dallas Club had not even made it there yet. It was pretty cold outside and since Randy and Sondra were a bit under the weather, we deicided to eat somewhere else instead of Coopers since you have to stand outside to wait for your food and there was a long line.

We ended up heading back by ourselves and went on the road that runs where Longhorn Caverns are located. I could not get a signal there so I could not call you. We have a couple of funny stories that happened that we can tell you about later.

All in all, we had fun but the actual drive was not that great. Next weekend should be a blast as long as the weather holds out for us.

Sorry I missed the ride. I was stuck in San Antonio. Hopefully I can make the next one. Did anyone end up going to "Import Nights"? I'm curious if it's worth going to?

What's up Brian,

Yeah there was a group of about 5 of us who went to the Import Nights. They should call it "Car nuts hanging out in a Parking Lot" instead. There weren't any exotics or super high end cars, but still a lot of diversity-- F150 lightnings, Supras, lots of F-bodies, modified Preludes/Civics, and some Germans too.

It is usually in Best buy, but the gateway security guy was asking everyone to leave, so they took it to Circuit city just down the block.

I think the event was not as fun as last weekend. One, it was too cold, and two not enough racing

While I think street racing in general is a bad idea, using your discretion there are times/places where it is safe and controlled.

The only race I ran was against Mark (elistan). I wanted to race to see if there is any truth to the rumor that the S2000 engine gets stronger as it is broken in.

Result: YES IT IS TRUE!
I had 1800 miles, Elistan had 22000. We did a rolling start, punched it at 6000 RPMS, and were even up to the end of second, where he was pulling away and even more obviously in third. The starts were not completely synchronized but I would say he had (effectively) a 3 car length from rolling start to 100--
