Where is a good place to get my s2000 inspected, that will not charge me an arm and a leg. Thanks

State inspection is $12.50 no matter where you get it done.

Not any more. It's $28.50 in counties where emissions testing is required, incl. Travis/Williamson.

Doh! I guess you can tell that I haven't had to get any of my cars inspected with the new standards yet... I do believe, if I am recalling correctly, that inspection prices are standardized, so you won't pay more in one place for the same thing than another place (in other words, no need to play the price game).

Keep in mind that if the car is registered in a sniffer county, you have to have a sniffer inspection. Stanford's cars are registered to his mother's address in a non sniffer county, so he was able to go to Hays Co and get his inspected. This won't work for those of you who live in smog testing counties.
