John Eagle Honda in Houston
Did anyone on this forum buy their S2000 from John Eagle Honda?
(or any car for matters ske?)
Who did you deal with?
Did you buy it for MSRP? --- (I keep telling those guys that many dealerships are selling for MSRP or even less, but they seem to not want to budge.
The reason I ask is because I am looking into doing an "Excahange of Collateral". Baisically, I give them my damaged car and my check from the insurance company, and then they pay off my old car note and use what is left over as a down payment on a new car. The only down side to doing this is that I would have to do it at John Eagle since they are already associated with my car... and they seem to not be the first place I would pick to buy a car from since they want a premium.

And Iwon't pay any over MSRP, especially since I didn't pay the first time I bought this car... (Why should I pay now

They don't want to buy my car from me until it is fixed. And once it is fixed they only want to give me $26k.
My car is brand new with only 15,000 miles and it is valued at $35,000.00 (according to my insurance comapny) and they only want to give me 26k... I would've accepted 30... 26 that is just too low. I would spend that full amount paying off my car, and virtually lose the $8500 bucks I put down six months ago.
Anyway, I have given up fighting. The state board has said they are not doing anything wrong etc etc. And so they are going to comence fixing my car. Barbra (my advocate at the state) did talk them in to giving me new carpet and seats and some other little things... so I guess that is good news, but she was unable to get them to total the car.
I should have my car by the second week of august... at that time I will look into trading it in.
BTW, if you do not know what this post is all about... I'm sorry. I wrote an 8 page story (single space type ten font) explaing everyting that happened (with many comical relief lines in it... it was very funny, and I hated to lose it... Oh well that seems to be how things are going with this whole situation), but after putting an html code at the begining of the story, I corupted the file and when I went back in to the file this is what I saw: "

Hey John--
Sorry to hear about your troubles. I believe that a good repair will put your car back to 100%. The interior is a piece of cake, the engine compartment is where they shouldn't cut corners. Just think, it could be worse-- structural or chassis damage and repair is a lot less likely to be 100% original.
Too bad about that corrupted file-- I would have liked to read the whole unadulterated story.
