What night to get together to review the track?

What night to get together to do car mechanical work?

 

I'm heading up to MSR next weekend. I would really like to get together if some people are available some day this week after work to review the track. I don't think my car needs any work done. I was planning on getting some stainless steel brake lines put on, but they haven't arrived yet. I'm more than happy to help if someone else does though.

Also, I just remembered that I need to get some numbers made. Anybody got a suggestion for that given the short timeframe I have? Thanks.

I don't need to review the track, having done many races and track days there, but I'lll try to show up if a benchracing session is scheduled as long as it's not Thurs. night.

A Honda Hawk and an SV650.

I'll also tracked my R6 and F4 there.

This will be my first time there in a vehicle that leans the wrong direction in the corners...

 

Well, at the last event I got a student who was a former dirt car racer.

Nice guy, and I hope he returns... but first thing to relearn was not to "throw" the tail out before every turn!

 

Kevin will be attending, and I think Scuba Driver will be too.

The current list of people waiting on standby are: 1) Tim and 2) Jose. But Jeff, if you want to bump me to Yellow... they could attend.

The parts that people are needing to install will not get here until Thursday (stupid complications) so I'll be doing a few installs on Thursday night and then we'll head out Friday afternoon.

I'll be staying at my brother's place in Ft. Worth (anything to save on hotel costs unless there is a floor suitable enough for sleeping bags - ha!)

As for prep days:
--- Wednesday: Track Review Day
--- Thursday: Prep Day (jwfisher, you need anything done?)

 

I'd bump you if I could... but only whatever instructor gets assigned to you can.

Personally, I'd suggest calling Drivers Edge, and ask if standbys can show up and wait until an opening occurs. I'm sure there will be several within the first couple of hours.

All I know at this point is that I have 2 S2000 students... and that some DFW S2Ks are coming as well.

I also know my rear shocks give up when hot... otherwise the car is fine. Tires fine, brakes fine (and new pads on the front). Front spiler, damaged. In need of some sort of repair this weekend (going to jack it up when it cools down tonight).

We should start organizing a convoy up there too...

How far is downtown Ft. Worth from Cresson? I was thinking more of Granbury, since many of us are staying there.
