I got the K&N with the cold air box around it.
I'm off today so anytime is good, and I live by 1604 & Bulverde but if someone is willing to help I can drive to your place.

The only piece I had trouble with installing my K&N FIPK intake on my AP1 last year was the big hose that runs off of the intake box and down into the fender well. The inside was actually melted onto the metal coupling. Other than that it would have been a quick 30 minute install taking my time.

I might be able to help you Thursday evening if you still need help installing it.
