I'm new to central texas and live in the tempe area. I am one hour north of austin and 2 hours south of dallas. are there any autocross, roadracing, etc. events in the area that i could participate in???

The PCA chapter of South Texas (RGV) hold a monthly DE/TT. Track ranges from a 1.6 to 2.1 mile road course. The next event is Nov. 17th. Check this link http://www.rgvpca.org/

The Corpus PCA holds an event every once in a while and need to be checking their site to see if one is scheduled. http://www.coastalbendpca.org/

NASA also has DE/TT in Central Texas. http://www.nasatx.com/main.asp

And for AutoX, try the Corpus SCCA. They hold a monthly AutoX. http://stbrscca.com/

No i have not met anyone in this (temple, killeen, austin)area with an S2k. I did meet viets2k from dallas last time i was in dallas. I keep hearing that there are quite a few s2ks around here but i have been able to talk to any of the drivers.

Yeah Im from Killeen..well I'll be back there in 3 weeks. Theres a track in temple that alot of us go to, it's way out in the freak'n boonies. It doesn't open back up til Feb if I remeber correctly.
