Default S2k going in for BOOST!

Well I just dropped my s2k off at BEGI down in Bulverde to get a turbo kit installed. The owner is Corky Bell, and if you havent heard of him, hes like a turbo genius. He wrote the book Maximum Boost. Well they only make miata turbos, but are wanting to start making a no frills daily driver turbo kit for the s2k. It should make similar power to the greddy kit, but for a better price. Im going to be helping him out on the build, just for the experiance, ill keep you guys updated on how its going!

I actually have no idea what the pricing will be. Im actually using a chinese turbo, which believe it or not has proved more reliable than the Garrett and if something go's wrong its alot cheaper to fix. I know when they sell the kit, you will be able to have the option on the garrett or the chinese turbo. I prob would have gone with the garrett, but im really tight on cash right now, and from what they told me about their success rate with the chinese turbo, it didnt seem to bad an idea for half the price. he's a family friend so im getting a very good price since my car is basically the test dummy.

"tight on cash" and "turbo" used in the same sentence does not sound like a good combination...

I guess if you've got the "Genius" on your side that will help the budget a lot... Keep us posted!

I agree with you guys, but im paying close to nothing to get this done and if you havent heard of Corky Bell then it wouldnt seem to great, but i have full confidance this guy know what he's doing, hes been building turbo kits since 1977 and if you ask anyone who knows alot about turbo's, they should know of him, and already a number of members here on s2ki have seen his kit and say its one of the cleanest and one of the best fabricated kits out there.
