Thanks to our leader, all hail, who hosted a parts swap session Sunday and graciously provided lunch halfway thru the day! Great!

We did some significant work on three cars: Sondra, mine, and Tim's.

I got some much-needed EBC Red pads installed - along with a good bleeding (BTW, they do make dust, and a very-occasional squeal. And, they do take a bit of warming up). And, a really cool 2002 shift knob!

Tim installed a really nice x-brace and a rear Comptech brace.

And, Sondra got some much-needed brake pads and a blue-blood bleeding as well.

Sadly, we didn't have time to install a supercharger on anybody's car, much less the small-block Chevy suggested by our host's neighbor (currently residing in his 6000-pound SUV: 3 times the cubes, at least twice the the overall weight, 10 times worse aero, 3 fewer gears, far smaller brakes, but - a considerably larger bubba factor).

Small block?
Start with a big ol' 454 and work from there.

Jeff, are you picking on my neighbor's truck? I mean come on, he only has 10 kids and 4 coolers full of water balloons to haul, and "Dad gum it," that won't all fit in an S2000!

Shoot, we could probably fit the body of the S2000 onto a jeep or old Bronco chassis and we would have a four wheel drive cooler than the 4x4 DeLorean running around town.

"You sure got a purty mouth."

Who is going to donate their car's body?

Anybody blown an engine recently?

Anybody getting another S2000 and need something "original" to do with their "original"?

There is a lot of difference between a 50/50 weight balance and a 90/10 weight balance! Maybe Chris would want the 454 for a bike project?

And, there is still the issue of funds - unlike some swaps, you won't be able to save some $$$ by putting off the trannny and rear end swap for a month or two later. The stock tranny and rear would literally blow to smithereens, taking the driver and passenger with it. The engine, though, would be about a hundred feet forward up the road, so your estate be able to sell it for reuse that in the next project.
