Why is everybody so interested in putting test pipes on their cars and becoming gross polluters all for a couple of additional horsepower? You would see better performance gains by putting some lightweight wheels on your car, instead. Or, learning to drive the car better, etc... Becoming a gross polluter (and thereby making the EPA enact tougher laws, emissions testing, and consequently higher annual costs on ALL of us) just to gain less than 8hp and 6 ft/lbs of torque is retarded. My daily driver's horsepower and torque ratings at the wheels probably varies more than that just depending on the air density of a given day.
I'll step off my soap box, now.

Running test pipes on the street is just selfish. "Screw everyone else, I'm going to turn my LEV into a gross polluter for 2 or 3 hp".
Those of you who don't get it s/b forced to go live in Shanghai, Taipei, or Penang for a few weeks. I used to think the EPA was a PITA, but my travels in Asia made me see the light and appreciate their role in reducing pollution.
