Default Vortech S2000

Going thru the August Super Street today.... found a pic of the Vortech (w/intercooler) for our cars. First pic of a real production unit I've seen... interesting and very sturdy mount to the engine. Shouldn't break.

Even more intriguing: with no other mods, 358 HP @ 8800; 214 lb-ft @ 7800. Those peaks are very high... sounds like a large-size vortech was used.

358 HP is only somewhere around 305-310 at the rear wheels right? Isn't that what was promised of the SC?

If its 11.6:1 compression, then its not stock internals (right?), so the normal kit shouldn't put out near that high a HP.

Is that 358hp rear wheels or 358hp at the crank?

If it produces much extra hp & tq. pre-VTEC, then I'll be very interested. The CT unit doesn't appeal to me b/c it makes the powerband even peakier...I want more bottom-end and midrange.
