Default We need another meet...

It's been way too long since we last had an event in the SA area. I would like to see about setting up something before the weather gets too unbearably hot. I would like to propose we have a little drive/lunch thing on June 4th (a Saturday) maybe starting in the mid morning and would involve a drive out to Lost Maples Cafe for lunch (and that yummy pie that they have!!), and maybe a little more driving after lunch as we go into the hillcountry a little farther before coming back to SA. All in all, you would be back home mid-afternoon.

I know we have a lot of people lurking on here that don't post regularly. I'd like to give everybody a bit more advance time to plan for this event so we can have some pretty good turnout. Nobody ever seems to be disappointed from these runs, so let's hear it; who would like to come out for a drive on June 4th?

Ricky,
I met you at the Verizon autocross. I will be there for the drive. You should post the time and location to meet at so others will know.

Let's plan to meet around 9:30am and depart by around 10:00am. That way we should arrive a little after 11:00-11:15am in time for an early lunch before the place gets so busy.

We should meet at the intersection of Bandera Rd (Hwy 16) and Loop 1604 on the northwest side of San Antonio. There is an open parking lot right behind Whataburger that is the former location of an Albertson's grocery store. We will then take Hwy 16 up through Bandera, out RR 470 until we get to RR 187 and south to Utopia. We will then take a little jaunt out Hwy 337 to Leakey and perhaps beyond, depending on how long everybody wants to be out driving. It's probably a good idea to top up with fuel at the Exxon gas station right there depending on how long of a drive we are going to go on. Anywhere we go we should be able to make it out and back without stopping for fuel if we all fill up before we start.

I just wanted to post another message so that this comes back up to the top of the forum. We are less than a week away, so just wanted to see if there was anybody else that is planning to come out with us next weekend?

You guys better make it, because at this rate, it'll be the last S2000 get together for another six months!
