I'm going on an approx. 200 mile drive to Floresville on Saturday. As for Sunday, it depends partially on whether I get my car back on Friday as planned.

Holy shit...... Your car gets ass-ended by an SUV and you get it back in 2 weeks... I take out a mere stop sign, and still haven't gotten it back in a month and a half! *grrr!*

I'm SUPPOSED to get it back today... I'm still not holding my breath.

Ricky,

Based on what I heard, it sounds like your damage *may* have been more extensive than mine. The ironic thing about getting it back so quick is:

Yeah, that's the crazy part -- one would think a stopsign would not inflict much damage on a 2700lb car..... *sigh* So much for taking the path of least damage on that one... If I'd just slammed into the back of everybody, I would have already picked up a new one, I'm sure.....

Okay, all joking aside, the body shop that is working on my car is also an adjuster for my insurance company. The car would have been done a month ago if it weren't for the fact that they've had a hell of a time getting the paint to match. Be extremely anal on it, with Spa Yellow.... It's an EXTREMELY difficult color to match. I've heard that it's not uncommon for it to get redone 2-3-4 times until it gets done right.

The body shop ended up repainting my entire car, in the end....I'll see how it looks this afternoon.

Looks like it's going to be pretty cold on Sat, with temps comparable to those at Laguna Seca in Jan last year (major contributing factor many, many spins that day).

For those who go, be careful!
