I am wondering if anyone is interested in helping me with the condensation in the passenger lens tomorrow or this weekend? This will require taking off the front bumper which I am not sure how to do but shouldn't be too bad. If you are considering clearing out your headlamps, this will be a good learning experience for you.

I'm learning a lot about how the car is put together too. John, if your car is not totalled, after it is fixed I can take it apart with you to make sure they really replaced certain things, etc.

One more thing-- I noticed that my transmission is leaking a little bit of oil. I will jack it up this afternoon to have a closer look. I'm unsure that it is related, but probably is...

Thanks

Aww man, that really sucks! I was hoping you guys didn't go because of all the rain. I'm glad, in hindsight, I couldn't go. What happened down there? I have a printout from the Helms manual on how to take off the front bumber. I'll e-mail it to you this evening. It's really easy, especially if you have another person to hold the other side.

It seems that you are making progress. I hope all turns out well for your S2k.

I also had a tranny leak that ended up being caused by a leaky tranny seal. John Eagle Honda ended up replacing both tranny seals and did the 1-2 grind TSB fix while they were in there. I'll try and post pics of my tranny leak so you can see if its similar to your leak.

Good luck on your repairs.

Joseph,

Sorry to hear about your car, what a bummer. I'll have a busy week @ work, but would be happy to help out one evening. I'm no master mechanic, but know which way to turn a screw to get it off.

Just gimme a call whenever...I'll send you my # since I'd guess it was lost w/ the phone.

I'd offer time, but a bit busy this week. I'll have more time on the weekend *crossing fingers*.

Hey Rasputin314,

Sorry to hear about the car. That has to suck.. Was almost in your shoes on Saturday night, but luckily got my car to higher ground after driving through water up to the head lamps. Checked the filter box and dipstick for any signs of water, was very lucky. If you need any help, email me and I can see what I can do. Good luck with the car.

Mine was the front seal too. Coincidence? If you can, ask them to replace both seals while they are in there.
