Default Worst Day Ever!

Ok im not one to complain about my days, but this tops it by far. It started off with me leaving work and going out to my car to get in...and a white tahoe had parked at an angle (like ferraris do) with his front bumper exactly 8 inches from my door. It was physically impossible for me to get in...had to get in through the passengers side (dont ask how) i didnt have time to wait for the guy, i had school today. And then after school i go to pick my little brother up, and some kid yells "yeah i saw the movie too, nice rice!" I officially am pissed.

How can you call a s2000 rice? I wasnt revving or anything, just acceling up to 4 grand and shifting.

And to top it off i didnt park all wierd, or far out...i parked backed in to a regular spot, not angled or anything. I dont get people

The car is light enough that you s/b able to push it out of the parking spot, as long as it's not uphill. I won't even mention what I'd have wanted to do to the Tahoe...

I'd say you've had a pretty damn easy and uneventful life if that's your worst day ever!

hahaha... Well said, Chris... I guess my day on Monday of spending 14.5 hours in the Houston airport due to weather delays, flight cancellations, and not having a rental car when I arrived in my destination city because the rental company where I had my reservation had closed already is nothing compared to somebody parking close to one's car and shouting an ignorant comment or two in my direction. It's okay, David... You will have much worse days later in your life...get used to it.

To solve your problem, you could have also sat down in the passenger seat, unlatched the top, then put the top down and easily "walked" your way into the driver's seat. It's a convertible -- think outside the box.

I work at lowes, i wear construction boots, and generally have a LOT of gear on. Im also 210 pounds, 6'1.......Maybe i shouldnt be driving this car? And "worst day ever" is just a expression, jesus h christ you people. I know its not the worst day ever, i meant it in the context of s2000's.......ive had much worse, like getting rear ended at a dead stop by some old chick going 45 mph after buying Battlefield 2....and then having people yell and curse you for it while they drive by!

Ditto on the getting rear-ended at a dead stop by a lady doing ~45mph (that's all she slowed down to out of ~60mph before impact).... Only my wife and I were on my motorcycle and the lady hitting us was in a mini-van.... And we ended up laying in the middle of Hwy 281 on that one...

I've got the plate and 9 screws in my leg from that one.... The only thing worse was that I was trying to find a job because I had just gotten laid-off two weeks before that and the only vehicles we owned at the time had manual transmissions....(my left leg and ankle were broken).

Chris S has had even worse days than that, including a little flirting with death.

What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

I really hope i dont ever get in a crash in the s....

A. i will cry like a stuck pig
B. I probably will die from being crushed, the top of my head sticks out past the rollbar by alot.
I know it has good crash ratings, but i really wonder how well a bigger guy does in a compact car like that, probably not pretty

For some reason I have heard some of the worst accident stories from San Antonio drivers. Being rear ended by a mini van while you are on a motorcycle with your wife = very bad experience. I bet you were quite a bit dazed after that one.

I have been fortunate enough to avoid an accident, although I did some stupid things when I had my RSX which almost ended my life. So, I grew up and bought and S

As long as you don't have a rollover, the S will protect you very well. If your head is above the roll hoops, there is a good chance you'll probably break/fracture some vertebrae in your neck. I spoke with an older gentleman at S2kDays who had swerved to avoid an animal in his nearly-new '05 S2000, went through a ditch, got airborne, and rolled it several times. His son was with him in the car and ripped the handle off of the passenger door and broke his hand. The driver ended up with several vertebrae fractured in his neck. I've seen this happen more than once in S2k rollovers. If you're shorter than the roll hoops, you'll likely walk away from a rollover without harm, but above it, you're looking at a broken neck.

Whitedeon: As for the motorcycle accident, yeah, San Antonio drivers are some of the worst out of any place I've been. I travel a LOT for work, and I hardly ever get the chance to use the horn in rental cars. Then I get back home and many times I don't even get on the highway by the airport at home when I get some idiot I have to wake up with a honk of the horn. In/during the accident, I wasn't dazed at all. After the bike and I stopped for the second time at the other side of the intersection, I went to get up and walk over to where Vanessa was laying and that was when I realized my left foot wasn't there to hold me up. Not knowing what really happened to my foot, I hopped on the other foot about 15-20 feet over to where she was laying on the highway. It was an event I never hope to live again. I had post-traumatic stress for almost a year from it where I'd have nightmares in the middle of the night, re-living the impact and flying through the intersection with the bike sliding under me...it would wake me up and my heart would be racing each time it happened. Thankfully that no longer happens at this point. I was a VERY angry person on the roads for a long time after that accident. Every time somebody did something stupid on the roads, I took it very personally.

Be careful out there, guys. Crashing hurts in more ways than one.

Nah, you just think you will. When this happened to my car (deer strike @ 80mph), it had been out of the shop for a whopping 5 hours after having the front end repainted from rock chip damage. The windshield was 24 hours old. I got out, surveyed the damage, and started laughing hysterically. This absolutely would not have happened to anyone else!
