24 Hour Test Drive
I went to John Eagle Honda last night to talk about a final price on a MY05 Silverstone, but I told them I needed to sleep on it for a night. Well, the general manager there is a friend of a friend so he let me take the car home last night for a 24 hour test drive. They took the car off the showroom floor for me! I asked one of the salesmen if this is something they normally do and he said, "The general manager told us to do everything we could for you". Needless to say I felt like a king. We got the price down to invoice too.
Congrats, just make sure when you go back to dealership to take the big smile off your face so they can keep the kissing ass route
. Weather has been great, saw several s2k's this morning to work all with top down. Saw one on harwin drive/beltway with JE plates. Would that be you?

Speedxxxracer, not me. I stay on Westhiemer for my commute from Eldridge to Walnut Bend.
Drive out price, let's see, I'm a little upside down on my trade plus ttl comes to 33,000. I checked to make sure they weren't adding any extra fees and all they were charging me for was the basic ttl. I plan on putting about 10k - 13k down.
It stinks to be upside down on the trade, but my warranty is almost up and the upside down amount is about the same as an extended warrenty, if I were to keep the truck. Either way the money is gone. GM trucks have the worst resale by the way.
As soon as I pulled out of the parking lot last night some chicks were honking at me.
This is an amazing car to say the least. I noticed that this car does not have the "1st-2nd grind" that some people talk about. Shifting is like butter. I also did some engine braking to see if it would pop out of gear like I have heard some people complain about and it was fine. What stinks is taking it easy during the break in period. Since it's a test drive I'm anxious to feel the v-tech kick in, but I have kept it below 5k.
