Default 30k mile service

quick question... i am overdue for it since im at 40k miles...

i called gillman and they quoted me about $400 for the 30k mile service and since i need coolant service at 45k miles i could do that too... but its another $400... Is this price the best i can get? or can i get it cheaper... better yet is there anything i can do myself?

thanks,

the D-Meister

call C & C Northside Motors or Everything Automotive, both are part of our prefered shops.

i'm sure Joe_s2k(everything automotive) could do the 30k check up for way cheaper and better than the dealership.

So they are charging you $800 total?? Man what a rip. Go see the places mentioned above.

Basic 30,000 Mile check should include:

Change Trasmission fluid
Change Diff Fluid
Change Oil and filter
Change the cabin Filter
Change the Air Intake Filter
Check break wear including disk thickness
Check suspension for any loose bolts
Check Tires

I don't have my helm manual in front of me, but I think thats basically what they check.

Definitely take it to Everything Automotive. They caught things that were never done at the dealership. I spent all that money for a damn oil change.

C & C Northside Motors does a great job too, I would go to either.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA ...I like that .
Like erryone mentioned above, that's a rip. All the things that are included in the 30k tune-up can be done at home with relatively little tools. Or if you're really lazy, you could take it to the shops coop mentioned, or the ghetro garage mechanic (which is me) and what s2kmugen referred to above...if you didn't get it yet .
