Default Accident - recommendations?

Hey fellas, got into a fender bender in my condo parking lot today. I was backing into my parking spot when another driver decided she could zip around behind me at the same time. They have agreed to assume responsibility but would like to pay out of pocket. Can I please get some input on the following?

1. I did not get insurance information from them (I thought this would be okay since they own the unit they live in so they're not going anywhere)

2. What shop do you recommend? The bumper and light are easy fixes, but my big concern is the damage to the rear fender.

that looks like a solid 1000 in damage. Not familiar with ap2's but my front end accidents were from 1500 to 3000 with paint and labor and all. Those headlamps are not cheap

This!

You should've got insurance info and filed a accident report anyways. They can easily turn around and not pay anything now if they wanted.

yep!

I would get their info. you need some kind of leverage against them. because they could just say "screw you" and you're left with the damages.

i was involved in 5 fender benders within 12months in my s2k. Body parts are expensive, Plus paint and labor. I wouldnt trust anyone with that kinda money. Knock on their door and ask for that insurance info man.

Parts alone are around 4 to 500 bucks. Then paint, you'll have to get the quarter panel repaired and blended. Easily over 1k!

Rear quarter panel, trunk, taillight, and bumper needs to be replaced. Pray there's no frame damage (should be ok I think). Probably $2k at least.
