Default Audio System Upgrade

I have a 2002 Suzuka Blue S2K and I want to upgrade the audio system (big surprise there)! I am DEATHLY afraid of turning it over to anyone to work on it for fear of massive stupidity. Does anyone have any primo recommendations for somewhere to take it? I asked the dealer if they would do the install (Alpine CD-changer that plays MP3s, amp, possibly sub) and they said they would only install their accessories which are limited to the ALPINE cd-changer they carry.

The guy that did my system has done 3-4 S2000s by now. He knows our car pretty well. He works at Tweeter on 1960. When it comes to top quality, Custom Car Stereo on 59 is the best on town (probably pricey too).

Here are my pics:

If you can handle a screwdriver, you can do it your self. It was not that hard to do.

Are you only thinking of Adding to the Stock system? Or replacing the Stock system and adding the Changer/Amp/Sub?

I saw a cool banner ad (on this site) for "stealth boxes" that fit in the trunk. Looked good, but I didn't save the link.

So many people say that, but that's the very first thing you want to change out. You can wire the car to keep the side controls, look around in the Electronics forum, many many people have done it. If you were only going to do one thing, I'd say replace the head unit. If you get your stuff installed at Mobile One they have a deal where if you sell your car, they'll uninstall the radio in your old car and install it in your new car for free...so, just something to consider; it may not be as much of a hassle as you think.
