Default Burgah Flickle!

My dad backed into my 1 week old ride. Left a nice indention of the trailor hitch in the bumper. I'm going to need a new bumper and to have it painted. I know a lot of y'all have had things painted...most of the stories I've heard were not so great. I just wanted a recap of which places sucked and which places rocked...and about how much it costs to have a front bumper painted.

Note: I already emailed Leo.

I'm really dreading them trying to match the metalic finish of the paint.

Wes, I'm considering these options so far.

Ruben (owned RC.?)
Fred's Guy (MRS Spyder)
John's guy (s2kmugen)

Ruben: Heard he's the best painter in houston, but charges a good deal.

Fred: Fixed/Paints his mrs spyder all the time after accidents or paint chips and does an incredible job doing the silver matchup (flawless).

John: I haven't seen his car in sunlight, but by the looks of the paint it was near perfect to my eyes. I can't really say more until i see it again.

got damn wes. sorry to hear that man, fack. wish I could help, but I know no one. John's paint does look very good though. I don't know if it was jsut the dirt in the rain, but it didn't feel perfectly smooth.

don't worry john, I would rub your car to scratch it I was gentle.

Wasn't Reuben the one you told me about when he had his shop next to the Hardy Toll Road?

I talked to Ruben when I went with Shaun(he did his 350z) and he says he does the job on the side for us. He works at this shop that does Mercedes, Aston's, Ferrari, etc.

Shaun said he did an awesome job fixing his fiberglass fenders (2), sideskirts (2) and front bumper. I'm very tempted to take it to him. So many people so far have told me Ruben is the ING best in houston. The only problem is he's very weird on his $$$$. If he's feeling good he'll do your repairs/paint for so little (shaun was charged $350 for all that work done). He quoted me $2000 on the entire car, when shaun's car required more work then me. It was very weird how he gave me that high of a quote for such a little car.

I have Ruben's #, if anyone wants it let me know. I don't think he'll appreciate me just posting his # on the board (personal cell).

I'll take his CELL# from you. Please PM me. Also tell me about the Radar Detector status

He fixed my cracked AMUSE lip, reinforced it all the way around, and then prepped and painted it for $150. I gave him a little extra cause it was such a great deal.

He's an excellent choice for fiberglass work!
