Default bye bye windsheild

I guess you can tell what happend, huh?
Well i was driving home and heard a loud boom sound i thought it was the seatbelt that made that sound so i just looked across my windsheild to be sure and it was clear. the next day it was visible, a crack about 6 inches long. I got pretty mad but i just let it be since i'm too lazy to do anything on weekdays, so the next day it got even bigger now its bothering me when i drive and i need to replace that thing.
who knows any good front windsheild replacement places because i have no idea what will be a good price and stuff
...oh yea and just for the fun of it whats the worst damage your S has ever had, mine was this windsheild thing i guess i should be thankful for now

You Ins should cover it, and you only pay your deductible. I think 5-600 is the going rate, but the glass is list priced @ 1400. I think that the Ins co gets the same kind of deals the Med ins co get. You know the prices that we can't pay cash for.

Also be sure to have them order the OEM gasket before they start the repair. It took my installer 2-3 hours to get one from another installed. All this while I waited.

I could have sworn I heard something about insurance companies replacing cracked winshields for free. Anybody else remember that or am I just excited about Aerosmith tonight???

I was thinking the same thing Unicron. I just had body work AND the windshield replaced and altogether it was 2000. The bodywork was the bulk of it.

replacing the windshield should be no more than 530, at a low of 470.
