Default Car odor advice

I've had the car for a while now and although the previous owners did not smoke in the car, it still has their particular residual odor. Although its not something I can't live with, I'm just curious to see what kind of off the shelf products you guys have had luck with. And I'm looking for some reasonably priced stuff you can find at places like Auto zone, Advanced Auto Parts, or even car dealerships. The carpet is not wet or damp and I've also tried the typical air fresheners and even left damp rid in the car overnight. The cabin filter has also already been replaced. Just surfing I saw some stuff called So2Pure and Ozium. I've also heard about the baking soda and dryer sheet tricks that I have yet to try. What do you guys advise?

Thanks !

The car has roughly 38 thousand miles ..?

It's odd, the smell only last for a brief 30 seconds when the ac hits ..

I've used ozium on a car of mine before and it worked very well. As far as air fresheners go it is pricey but not too pricey specially since the car is small. I'm not too sure if it will help for turning on the a/c though that sounds more internal than an odor in the seats or carpet. What I did was for three days in a row I sprayed the hell out of the car before I went to bed. Looked like a fog show in there. Got rid of the smoking smell in my pilot though. I used three cans total.

There could be something on the sides of where the cabin filter goes. Or just inside our outside of it that they didn't see when they replaced your filter.
