Default In dire need of a starter TONIGHT !

I'm in a bind for an S2k starter. I'm attending an NHRA race in Baytown with my F20C powered dragster an I have damaged the starter.

I've tried 5 or 6 major Honda dealers in the Greater Houston Area and tried all of the part store chains.

No one has one.

There is one part inside the starter that is damaged. It's part of the gear reduction unit. There is a nylon outer ring gear that stripped.

I will gladly purchase a starter from anyone in the Houston area. I am staying with a friend in the northwest side of Houston. I have a run at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow (Saturday).

I will borrow a starter (and leave a reasonable deposit) for the weekend, buy a starter, or purchase just the damaged part .

Please pass the word around to your friends tonight.

I will continue to check this site throughout the night.

Thanks,

Greenlight

The part I need is #10 in the illustration on the link below:

That would really suck after having to go through the trouble and emotion of getting a car ready for a race that didn't happen

What about getting the car here from LA? That sucks too. As a racer, I hope this pays off down the road when I need something.

I saw a video of his car run. Unreal is all I can say.

I never had a reason to see a drag race until now. Do you know if he's going to run his F20 dragster at those next events? That might be worthwhile to go to (at least check out his dragster).
