Default Drifting / Practice Areas

Are there any around Houston ? Im getting some new wheels and tires soon and would love to have these originals as something to practice with. All I know how to do now is controlled powerslides but I would love to learn some other driving techniques in a safer area than on streets at night I can understand how this might sound a bit childish to some of you guys but If you could take me a bit seriously , I would appreciate it. Thanks

Oh and by the way , Anyone here live in Eldridge/W.Littleyork area ? I live here and always see a bunch of s2000's around. Just a few days ago I saw 3 or 4 parked outside of what looked to be an Indian restaurant on W.Little York and Hwy 6.

That was the Kart Meet at Track 21 for Lone Star that Jenny organized the other day . They went to eat at Taj India afterwards.

As for drifting, like the Houston-Imports thread mentioned, autocrossing would be a good venue to try your hand at drifting although they might get a bit annoyed if you knock down too many cones

SCCA holds 'em at Gulf Greyhound park (www.houscca.org) and BMWCCA hold them at the Houston Police Academy up north.

Oh sweet , I had a vip account at track 21 for a long while. Held a track record for a few months too ^^ That place was great before they got their new techs working on the karts a while back . Still fun tho.
