Default Final Straw..Time to bail?

I love this car from a performance standpoint but geez! I can't believe all the little crap that goes wrong with this thing...I am in the shop (again) for a check engine light...tech tells me nothing is wrong with the system but they can't get the light to reset????

Right front shock failed...gotta wait a day or two for that???

Lets see all within 12K miles

1. Window Regulator
2. Trim on Soft Top frayed and came loose
3. Check Engine Light Evaporator Valve
4. Air Conditioner went out
5. Popping out of 4th Gear
6. Check engine Light
6A Check Engine Light again
7. Oil Seep on front of Block
8 Front Shock failed
9.Clutch beginning to slip

What happened to that famed Honda reliability?

I am beginning to wonder if the performance of this car is worth the hassel of ownership and I am really beggining to wonder what it will be like at 50k miles???

Just me???

Thinking about going shopping......

Red may be right but the only other thing I might ask is "What are you doing to your car????"

Mine was perfect for 26,000 miles until the tranny and the rear-end went loco on me...but Honda covered it under warranty. Also, this is a brand new car. Still some bugs to work out. They've been building CIVICs for over 30 years! Enjoy the car and if it makes you feel any better, just thankful it's not a Porsche...they are in the shop more than in your driveway.

Wow...I think you got a lemon, too. Even the used MY2000 I had (with over 30k miles) had no problems except for a worn out cluth. I now have 5500 miles on my 2001 and it's been flawless. I hope you get it all worked out.

You might want to investigate your state's lemon law (if it has one).

Or you may just be having a string of coincidental failures and may not have another problem for two years.

Patience may yet reveal a happy ending.
