group dyno?
Ok... I repeat - "what's dynoed"?.
I did do a web search before asking but only turned up sites that assumed you already knew what it meant.
Or, is this not a forum for someone from Houston who's interested in learning more about their [soon to have] car?

Anyway, thanx! I suspect if I'd known it was short for dynamometer I'd have had more luck on my web search.(I'd have thought it'd be abbreviated "dyna" but guess that doesn't sound as "cool")
From "How stuff works" - Dynos are also used to simulate driving conditions during certain types of emissions tests. I now know that I've seen one in action. I had an emissions test done on my old CRX Si for that brief time Houston had emissions testing in the 90s.
I gather you'd want to see the before and after results when modifying the car, thus seeing if the effort(and money) invested was worth it.

You'll need thicker skin if your gonna hang with this bunch. Dyno is chapter one of racing 101. Your tee them up, and I'll knock em down the fairway.
Really, there are no dumb questions. Thats what our forum is for. Enjoy.
