6th gear at 30mph really isnt the best for gas mileage buddy. All about torque . Thats why I got great gas mileage taking it up to 4.5k in all gears except maybe 5th and 6th. The engine didnt have to try as hard to get up to speed as if you shifted at 2-3k In return wasting less gas .
When I was driving from north to south I was getting 350-380miles to a tank using this method.

but yeah, i only avg about 280 miles per tank, all city... maybe i'll try the 4-4.5k shifts...
